About the position
The position of Stakeholder Insights Officer will be accountable to the Manager and Director responsible for the strategy that informs the collection of stakeholder intelligence and insights. This position will support the delivery of Public Skills Australia’s Industry Stewardship function. They will be required to support the company’s industry intelligence strategy, engage senior industry-sector stakeholders, and ensure robust consultations, good governance and adherence to Federal Government requirements.
The Stakeholder Insights Officer will report to, and work closely with the Manager, Stakeholder Insights to proactively drive and support several simultaneous engagement and intelligence collection activities, produce industry insights products. The insights from these consultations will support the implementation of the broader engagement strategy and support the development of the Public Skills Australia Workforce Plans and Activity project submissions.
This position will deliver a range of consultative activities, which may include presenting to industry committees, technical advisory groups, workshops, webinars, conferences, surveys and other stakeholder forums. The Stakeholder Insights Officer will be accountable for the insights and intelligence generated from these strategic engagements. This position will involve the management of meaningful stakeholder partnerships and ensure the consistency of intelligence being collected by Public Skills Australia. This role will strive for innovative ways to collect stakeholder insights and build stakeholder network, to inform further research, industry training needs and other company campaigns.

Key responsibilities
The Stakeholder Insights Officer will:
- Support the Manager Stakeholder Insights, to scope and plan engagement activity that informs the industry intelligence strategy.
- Analyse stakeholder engagement information to draw critical insights that inform the functions across the company
- Utilise a range of industry intelligence collection methods and approaches to effectively enhance Public Skills Australia’s knowledge base and identify knowledge gaps.
- Use analytical methods including thematic, qualitative and quantitative analyses, utilising company tools and systems effectively.
- Prepare innovative and informative intelligence, insights or analytical products to strengthen Public Skills Australia’s intelligence holdings and inform the company’s broader functions and work program.
- Contribute to the documentation required for Public Skills Australia Subcommittee and Board papers, including accurate reporting of engagements.
- Present to a variety of audiences (including executives) using excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders, to ensure the connections of important engagements and related pieces of work.
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders,and identify increased opportunities to connect and engage with industry representatives.

- Administration and CEO Office Management
- Managing the calendars, diaries and travel bookings of the Office of the CEO.
- Ensuring document filing, communications to and from the Office of the CEO and compliance obligations for the Office of the CEO.
- Supporting drafting of presentations, communications, speaking notes and other meeting materials.
- Taking minutes and other records of meetings as directed by the Office of the CEO.
- Supporting the role of the Executive Advisor and provide ad hoc support to the company executive (where required).
- Working collaboratively with other administrative and support functions across the company.
- Monitoring CEO correspondence to ensure timely responses.
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality when dealing with requests and/or information, being able to rebuff firmly while remaining professional.
Stakeholder Management
- Supporting formal communications and organisation of engagements with ministerial offices, government agencies and other high-ranking officials.
- Supporting planning and logistics of company Board Meetings, company AGMs and other critical governance meetings or stakeholder meetings under the direction of the Executive Advisor, CEO and company executive as required.
- Project Management
- Helping to plan and coordinate projects (where relevant) ensuring work is delivered within agreed deadlines.
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting on project progress and submissions to DEWR.

About the position
The Project Officer (Training Implementation, Promotion and Monitoring) is accountable to the Manager, Training Promotion and Implementation, and is part of the Training Team.
The position delivers on Training Implementation, Promotion and Monitoring activities as outlined in the approved project plan. This role is responsible for the delivery of several areas of work simultaneously. Key activities include:
- Collaboration with subcontractors on program and project delivery.
- Fostering and maintaining strong relationships with key industry partners.
- Developing and piloting implementation programs to support industry-sector RTOs.
- Developing high-quality reports and briefing papers.
- Organising and facilitating various committee meetings.
- Presenting high quality, accurate, verbal and written information to the Executive and internal and external industry stakeholders.
- The Project Officer Training Implementation and Promotion will be required to promote and support the vision of the Board, and the outcomes of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Reform program and ensure robust compliance, good governance, fiscal responsibility and adherence to federal requirements. The position is required to build and maintain strong relationships with all staff within the company.
