Ben Mallinson
VET Projects Officer
Ben Mallinson, based in Victoria, is a Research Officer in the Projects Portfolio at Public Skills Australia (PSA). Bringing curiosity for how people, groups and ecosystems can work together to achieve shared goals and needs, Ben works in Learning & Development (L&D) and Organisational Development (OD) research and project delivery.
This includes an exciting research project commissioned by the Federal Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) exploring how to transform, improve and streamline the Vocational Education & Training (VET) Workforce model for PSA’s industry-sectors. His studies include a Bachelor of Performing Arts, Graduate Certificate in Management, and professional development studies and certifications in environmental education / management, fire planning / firefighting, and nature-based solutions to climate change.
Ben has a background in a range of leadership, L&D, and OD roles in fire / environmental management, Victorian State Government (Dept. Families Fairness & Housing, Dept. Health & Human Services), management consulting, vocational counselling, and arts/theatre.
