Shay Deguara
Board Director
Shay Deguara is a representative of the Community and Public Sector Union member organisation where he holds the role of National Industrial and Research Officer.
Since 1999, Shay has worked for unions including the Public Service Association of NSW and the peak union council in New South Wales and has previously worked in the finance sector. He has held several roles, including Industrial Officer, Work Health and Safety Officer, Work Health and Safety Trainer, and Manager of Industrial Support. He now works for the Community and Public Sector Union.
Shay has a Master of Science and Technology in Occupational Health and Safety, a Bachelor of Economics (Industrial Relations and Economics), and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. He is an experienced Board Director who has previously been on the following Boards:
- Industrial Staff Union Executive.
- University of New South Wales Arc Student Board
- Industrial Health and research Board
- Dust Diseases Authority Board (New South Wales)
- Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club (Life Member).
