Diana Taylor AM

Chair of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee

Diana Taylor has more than 25 years’ experience as a lawyer, director, business owner, consultant and author.

Diana completed her law degree at Deakin University in Geelong. She now operates her own business, Diana Taylor Legal Consulting, that specialises in workplace relations, training, sport, strategic planning and governance.

Diana has extensive Board experience and is the Chair of the Geelong Authority and Anam Cara House Geelong. Diana is also a trustee on the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust, and a Board member of the Law Advisory Board at Deakin University.

Diana is passionate about Australian Rules Football (AFL) and has more than two decades’ experience as a football administrator. She was the first female president of a men’s AFL metropolitan football league (the Western Region Football League), the first woman appointed to the Victorian Football League (VFL) Tribunal and the first female Vice President of the Geelong Football Club, a significant moment in the Club’s 165-year history.

In 2024, Diana was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her significant contributions to the AFL and the community of Geelong.
