Procurement and Contracting: The updated Procurement and Contracting qualifications will incorporate contemporary best practices as outlined in the 2024 Commonwealth Procurement Rules and align with current industry requirements.

What is a Technical Committee
Members of a Technical Committee provide guidance and oversight on the development, review, and maintenance of training packages and qualifications. Their role is to ensure that the training content remains relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with current industry standards and workforce needs.
Key roles of the Technical Committee
- Provide advice on the purpose of a qualification and application of the principles.
- Provide advice on training design, delivery, assessment and implementation.
- Provide guidance on the Australian Qualification Framework levels.
- Determine impacts on learners and identify implementation issues.
- Identify additional stakeholders to include in consultation where necessary.
Who we are seeking
We are seeking Technical Committee representatives with one or more of the following attributes and experience:
- Subject matter expertise in procurement and contracting roles with public sector.
- Educational experience in training individuals for procurement and contracting roles.
- State or territory government agencies representatives with relevant expertise.
- Represent and understand the requirements of Registered Training Organisations.
- Industry Regulatory Representatives.
- Union representatives
Requirements
- Attend approximately 5 meetings between November 2025 to April 2026 to develop training products (dates to be confirmed).
- Consult within your organisation to provide insights on relevant internal policies and standard operating procedures.
